Intersegmental Spinal Traction
Intersegmental Spinal Traction
Intersegmental Traction also known as Roller table, opens up each segment of the spine to hydrate and restore the discs. The massage rollers travel up and down the spine ultimately relieving pressure off of the spine, reducing muscle tension and tightness while hydrating the disc.
Intersegmental Spinal Traction Benefits
- Hydrates spinal discs
- Reduces spinal pressure
- Relieves muscle tension
- Loosens tight muscles
- Improves joint mobility
- Supports disc health
- Enhances spinal alignment
- Promotes relaxation and comfort
How it Works
Intersegmental spinal traction uses motorized rollers that move up and down the spine while the patient lies comfortably on the table. As the rollers travel beneath the body, they gently lift and separate each spinal segment, creating controlled traction that opens the joints and spaces between vertebrae.
This motion helps increase fluid exchange around the discs, promoting hydration and nutrient flow. At the same time, the rhythmic pressure reduces muscle tension, eases tightness and decreases stress on irritated spinal structures.
By improving mobility and supporting disc health, intersegmental traction enhances overall spinal function and helps prepare the body for chiropractic adjustments and other therapeutic treatments.
